Stash - Bead and Button 2016 Show

I truly tried to curb my enthusiasm this year, rapidly passing by all vendors who had tables piled high with gemstone beads…they are just too tempting and I find that I buy too many beads I will never use! Instead, I focused on supplies and materials for beadweaving and bead embroidered works…needles, seed beads, leather backing, teeny rice pearls and large flat-backed pearls, bicones and flat back crystals. However, I did succumb to some items that weren’t on my list…vinyl record beads, brass spacer beads, leather cord, and several focal drops made from the tips of deer antlers that spoke to my inner desire to create tribal-themed pieces. Aside from these goodies, I returned with renewed inspiration to create more pieces in resin and Susan Lenart Kazmer’s Ice Resin® is the perfect vehicle…I’m ready to create and replenish my supply of one-of-a-kind resin cabochons to use in bead-embroidered pieces and capture in metal bezels that will adorn my metal work. Now I just need to find the time to execute all the ideas that are presently dancing in my head!
