I made these rings in a class taught by Katie Baum at the Bead and Button show several years ago. Both rings have textured high-shine surfaces. I sold the “Trefoil” ring (shown at left), but decided to keep the other. I fell in love with the dichroic glass cab that changes from seafoam to lime to burnt orange depending on hand movement as light reflects off it. I also loved the textured flowers that surround the cabochon, but I realized they weren’t being shown to their best advantage. Every petal and leaf begged to be defined…an antiqued finish was the answer! A few dips in a solution of liver of sulfur added so much definition. What a difference!
