BeadedBeadEarrings_Geometric_BarbaraBriggsI think earrings are the most difficult jewelry to photograph.  Because of reflection, shooting jewelry is not an easy task in of itself, but earrings can be impossibly temperamental to photograph!  If you try to shoot them hanging from a prop, they start to swing and sway at the slightest hint of vibration.  If they are placed on a flat surface, it’s difficult to get them to lay “just right”.  And of course, there is always the background and lighting to consider – too much light and the subject is washed out, too little light and the pieces look like they have fallen into an abyss. Photographing jewelry requires patience, of which I have little, but hiring a professional photographer is cost prohibitive.  That said, I’ve just finished assembling this pair of asymmetrical earrings made with components from the  beaded bead collection I’ve recently made.  Bronze beads accent the tiny silver loops that attach to the beaded cube and triangle.  The earrings are light as a feather and a pleasure to wear!
