Mixed Media - Polymer clay - EarringsI couldn’t wait to get to my jeweler’s bench and start hammering out silver components to go with beads from my new collection of polymer clay faux gemstones! I wanted them to have a tribal feel as if they had been discovered in a treasure trove of exotic jewelry, but I also wanted them to have a playful, sort of funky look as well. I think I’ve achieved that end with the asymmetry of this pair. Measuring 2.5” in length from the top of each earwire, they combine faux amber, coral, and hammer-textured and embellished patinaed sterling silver sheet and wire. Lightweight with lots of movement, these are a fun pair!
